Thanks to the folks who liked and commented on my last post, the Dihedral and Mphtheatregirl.
So no….I’m not suffering insomnia. I’m at work, caught up for a change, and I should be finding productive, proactive ways….
And work interrupted just now with a delivery, and I’ve lost my train of thought. So let’s get on with a different thought.
Howzabout that? Work. We live in interesting times (but then again….in the last six thousand years or so….who hasn’t?) And we live by the sweat of our brows. Ok, that makes sense.
But it seems to me in the last twenty or thirty years the world, specifically the corporate world, has become so mechanized, so degrading. Leadership seems to be a thing of the past, and a willingness to make a fortune on the backs of the proles.
I’m here at work, stomach upset, wondering whether I should eat. Wondering why it all has to be so hard. I don’t mean to sound like a whiner. But I’d give a lot for just ten minutes of down time.
What do you think? Is corporate America reasonable? Are things better or worse than they were thirty years ago? Please leave comments, stories, or dog videos in the comment section.
Happy holidays if I don’t get back to this in time.
